About the Issuer

Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) was established in 1999 under the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Act as the principal infrastructure funding agency of the Government of Kerala. It is responsible for mobilising and channelising funds for the development of critical physical and social infrastructure projects across the state, including major land acquisition and public infrastructure initiatives. KIIFB is wholly owned by the Government of Kerala and is headed by the state's political and administrative leadership, with the Chief Minister serving as Chairperson. The Board also includes the Finance Minister, Chief Secretary, senior government officials, and independent members, reflecting strong government oversight and strategic importance. KIIFB's key strengths include its strategic role as the nodal agency for infrastructure financing in Kerala, strong backing from the Government of Kerala, and a statutory framework that supports its funding and operations. The Board also benefits from government-guaranteed borrowings and dedicated budgetary support, providing a strong foundation for funding long-term infrastructure development in the state.
